How Do You or Your Business Get Found on the Internet?

Here are a couple of tips to increase your chances of being found by new customers online:

1. Optimise your website for SEO

In its simplest form it means adding descriptions and keyword phrases to your pages and images on your site so that Google has more information to attribute to you when someone searches a certain term or keyword.

2. Blogging

Blogging can be extremely effective when trying to find a new audience and new customers. It takes a lot of work and dedication but the effects can be extremely worthwhile as well as long-lasting. It also heavily works towards you SEO and therefore makes it more likely your site will come up when people search. If you don’t have time remember that you can outsource writing blog posts at very cheap prices.

Also remember you can speak to people about being included on their blogs or even writing a post for them which also helps spread the word about you and your company.


3. Social Media

Putting together a Social Media Strategy is probably the most effective way of using sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin etc… A strategy involves planning what and when you will be posting (predetermined) content and how this will be used over each profile you control. A consistent campaign over a few months can make a lot of difference especially if you are posting original content in the right way every few days.

Although it may not be seen as the most innovative thing, email marketing is in fact still the best medium for customer engagement and retention. Emailing a database is effective because it directly targets them. To make these even more effective give your customers an offer of some sort in the subject line to make them more tempted to open and read the mail.
